Synopsis
Set in 1960s Lima, Mistura follows Norma Piet, a French‑Peruvian woman whose privileged life collapses after her husband’s betrayal forces her out of elite society. Isolated and unsure of her place in the world, Norma finds unexpected purpose in Peru’s vibrant culinary culture.
Her path intersects with Oscar, the family’s chauffeur and an Afro‑Peruvian musician, whose sense of duty evolves into a meaningful partnership. Together, they explore Peru’s rich food traditions — from bustling markets to intimate kitchens — guiding Norma toward reinvention and a deeper connection to the country’s cultural identity.
A story of resilience, identity, and cultural pride, Mistura uses food as a lens to examine belonging, transformation, and the beauty of Peru’s diversity.
