Warner Bros. Pictures Animation is bringing Dr. Seuss’s most recognizable character back to the big screen with The Cat in the Hat, a new animated feature arriving in theaters and IMAX in November 2026. The film introduces a reimagined version of the Cat—voiced by Bill Hader—whose blend of mischief, magic, and irreverence drives an adventure built for a new generation.
The film introduces audiences to a version of the Cat they haven’t met before—still mischievous and magical, but with a sharper edge and a mission that could determine the fate of his beloved hat. Voiced by Bill Hader, the Cat is dispatched by the I.I.I.I. (Institute for the Institution of Imagination and Inspiration, LLC) to help siblings Gabby and Sebastian, who are struggling to adjust after moving to a new town. Known for pushing boundaries, the Cat must succeed in inspiring them—or risk losing his magical hat forever.
