Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema have released the official trailer for Mortal Kombat II, the next chapter in the action‑fantasy franchise based on the long‑running video game series. The film will debut in theaters and IMAX across North America on May 8, 2026, with international releases beginning May 6.
The sequel continues the conflict between Earthrealm’s defenders and the forces of Outworld. With the threat of Shao Kahn looming, the champions are drawn into a decisive confrontation that will determine the fate of Earthrealm. The film introduces Johnny Cage to the ensemble as the fighters face a brutal, high‑stakes battle that expands the mythology of the series.
