Roadside Attractions has acquired all U.S. rights to Cookie Queens following a competitive negotiation after the film’s celebrated World Premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival. The documentary, directed and produced by Alysa Nahmias, earned multiple standing ovations, widespread critical acclaim, and currently holds a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score. The film will open exclusively in theaters Summer 2026.

Cookie Queens explores the joys, pressures, and complexities woven into one of America’s most beloved rituals: Girl Scout Cookie season. Through the lens of cookie sales—an $800 million annual enterprise powered by hardworking girls—the film examines ambition, resilience, humor, and vulnerability as girls navigate growing up in a world shaped by community and capitalism.

The film is produced by award‑winning filmmakers Michael Dweck & Gregory Kershaw of Beautiful Stories (Gaucho Gaucho, The Truffle Hunters, The Last Race), Alysa Nahmias for AJNA Films, and Jennifer Sims. It will also screen at SXSW following its Sundance debut.
