Cineverse has announced that Moss & Freud will debut on Digital and Video on Demand on May 12, 2026. Directed by Academy Award® winner James Lucas, the film explores the unexpected and deeply personal friendship between supermodel Kate Moss and renowned artist Lucian Freud, sparked when Moss agrees to sit for one of Freud’s portraits.
Synopsis
At the height of her modeling career, Kate Moss agrees to sit for Lucian Freud, expecting a brief artistic collaboration. Instead, she becomes immersed in a prolonged and demanding series of sessions that test her discipline, challenge her sense of identity, and expose the emotional vulnerability of being observed so intimately.
Set within the private confines of Freud’s studio, Moss & Freud examines the psychological weight of the artist‑muse relationship and the transformative impact the experience had on both of their lives.
