Vertical has released the official trailer for Hamlet, a contemporary adaptation of William Shakespeare’s tragedy. The film will debut in theaters on April 10, 2026.
Synopsis
The film reimagines Shakespeare’s Hamlet within London’s elite South Asian community. After returning home for his father’s funeral, Hamlet (Riz Ahmed) discovers that his uncle Claudius is set to marry his recently widowed mother. When Hamlet is visited by his father’s ghost and learns that the death was a murder committed by Claudius, he begins a pursuit of the truth that exposes corruption within the family’s empire and places his own stability at risk.
