Next summer, DreamWorks Animation invites audiences back to the swamp for a thrilling and magical new comedy adventure from one of the most beloved animated franchises of all time: Shrek 5.
Comedy icons Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, and Cameron Diaz return to their signature roles as Shrek, Donkey, and Fiona. Joining the cast is Emmy‑winning superstar Zendaya as Shrek and Fiona’s daughter, Felicia. Marcello Hernandez and Skyler Gisondo star as Felicia’s brothers, Fergus and Farkle.
Shrek 5 is directed by franchise veterans Conrad Vernon and Walt Dohrn. Vernon was part of the directing team on the Academy Award‑nominated Shrek 2 and has voiced the fan‑favorite Gingerbread Man (“Gingy”) across the entire Shrek universe. Dohrn contributed as a writer and artist on Shrek 2 and Shrek the Third, served as Head of Story on Shrek Forever After, and voiced Rumpelstiltskin. He also co‑directed the first Trolls film and directed Trolls World Tour and Trolls Band Together.
The film is produced by returning producer Gina Shay of the Trolls franchise, who also produced Shrek Forever After, and by Illumination CEO and Academy Award nominee Chris Meledandri, known for the Super Mario, Despicable Me, and Minions franchises. Brad Ableson (Minions: The Rise of Gru, The Simpsons) serves as co‑director.
