The out‑of‑control cult comedy The Cable Guy celebrates its 30th anniversary with a newly restored 4K Ultra HD release arriving October 6, including a Limited Edition Steelbook. Synopsis
Jim Carrey stars as Chip Douglas, an eccentric and socially unhinged cable installer raised on a steady diet of television sitcoms. Obsessed with recreating the perfect TV‑style friendship, he latches onto recently single customer Steven Kovacs (Matthew Broderick). But Chip’s idea of bonding—ranging from physical assault to a medieval joust—quickly becomes hazardous to Steven’s health.
As Chip famously warns, “I can be your best friend… or your worst enemy.” Directed by Ben Stiller, the film also features Leslie Mann, Jack Black, and Owen Wilson.
