Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for Cape Fear, the upcoming psychological horror thriller series showrun and executive produced by Nick Antosca, and executive produced by Academy Award® winners Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg. The 10‑episode limited series will make its global debut on Friday, June 5, 2026, with the first two episodes, followed by new episodes every Friday through July 31, 2026.
A New Vision of a Classic Tale
Inspired by the 1991 Scorsese remake (itself based on the 1962 Universal Pictures film and the novel The Executioners), the series reimagines the iconic story for a new generation. A storm is coming for happily married attorneys Anna Bowden (Amy Adams) and Tom Bowden (Patrick Wilson) when Max Cady (Javier Bardem) — the notorious killer they helped put behind bars — is released from prison with vengeance on his mind.
The ensemble cast also includes Joe Anders, Lily Collias, and Malia Pyles, with supporting performances from CCH Pounder, Jamie Hector, and Anna Baryshnikov.
