Trailer Debut: Hulu Original Series Alice and Steve, Starring Jemaine Clement & Nicola Walker

By | May 13, 2026

Hulu has released the official trailer for Alice and Steve, the outrageously witty new comedy from Clerkenwell Films (Baby Reindeer). The series made its world premiere in competition at CANNESERIES 2026, where it won Best Series, and will next screen at the Tribeca Festival ahead of its June 8 debut.

Synopsis

Alice is devastated when her best friend, Steve, begins dating her 26‑year‑old daughter, Izzy. Suddenly, she’s at risk of losing both her closest confidant and her child in one fell swoop. Determined to end the relationship, Alice launches a full‑scale campaign to break them up — but Steve is more than ready for the fight.

What begins as a perfect friendship unravels into an all‑out feud in this hilarious, messy, and sharply observed anti‑romantic comedy. Alice and Steve explores the complicated intersections of love, loyalty, and revenge, asking just how far someone will go for the people they love — or the grudges they can’t let go.
