Apple TV+ has announced that Way of the Warrior Kid, based on the bestselling novel by former Navy SEAL Jocko Willink, will premiere globally on November 25, 2026.
Directed by McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator Salvation) from a screenplay by Will Staples (Without Remorse, The Right Stuff), the coming-of-age drama stars Chris Pratt, Jude Hill, and Linda Cardellini.
The film follows Marc (Jude Hill), a good-hearted middle school student who struggles with bullying, academics, physical education, and fitting in with his peers. His life begins to change when his injured uncle, Jake (Chris Pratt), a decorated Navy SEAL, comes to stay with Marc and his mother, Sarah (Linda Cardellini), during the summer.
Determined to help his nephew build confidence, Jake creates “Operation Warrior Kid,” a training program inspired by his SEAL experience. Rather than teaching Marc how to fight, Jake focuses on discipline, resilience, self-improvement, and courage, while confronting challenges of his own along the way.
Adapted from Willink’s popular novel, Way of the Warrior Kid delivers an uplifting story about perseverance, friendship, and discovering inner strength.
