3000 Pictures and Spyglass Media Group will release Klara and the Sun in theaters on October 23, 2026. The film is based on the bestselling novel by Nobel Prize‑winner Kazuo Ishiguro and is written and directed by Academy Award® winner Taika Waititi.
Synopsis
Based on the acclaimed novel by Kazuo Ishiguro, Klara and the Sun follows Klara (Jenna Ortega), an Artificial Friend who longs to find the perfect home. When she meets Josie (Mia Tharia), the two form an immediate bond. Josie struggles with her mother (Amy Adams) and the weight of past loss, but Klara’s innocence, loyalty, and wonder begin to heal the family and illuminate Josie’s complicated world.
