LOTUS ENTERTAINMENT AND DAVIDS CANTON PRODUCTIONS PARTNER ON PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER RESTART

Lotus Entertainment and Davids Canton Productions have attached Brad Anderson (THE CALL, THE MACHINIST) to direct the intense psychological thriller RESTART, written by Gregory Poirier (NATIONAL TREASURE: BOOK OF SECRETS). The script is based on the novel “NO WAY BACK” by Matthew Klein, which was published this spring by Corvus.

RESTART centers on an ordinary man who discovers that his entire life is being infiltrated and manipulated by a terrifying criminal network, in the vein of THE GAME meets UNKNOWN.

Danny Davids and Neil Canton are producing. Lotus’ Jim Seibel, Bill Johnson and D.J. Gugenheim are executive producing. WME Global is representing the domestic rights while Lotus Entertainment is handling international sales.

Brad Anderson is currently in production on ELIZA GRAVES with Kate Beckinsale, Jim Sturgess, Michael Cane and Ben Kingsley. He is repped by WME, Cinetic Management and Sloss Eckhouse Law Co. Gregory Poirer is repped by WME and Anonymous Content. Matthew Klein is repped by IPG’s Joel Gotler on behalf of the Phil Spitzer Agency. Danny Davids and Neil Canton’s attorney is Lawrence Kopeikin of Morris Yorn Barnes Levine Krintzman Rubenstein & Kohner, P.C.

Arnold Schwarzenegger recently came on board to the Blacklist script MAGGIE, which Lotus Entertainment is producing and acquired the spec REVELATION, by Hernany Perla. During Cannes, Lotus handled international sales on the Anne Hathaway starrer SONG ONE, which is currently in production. The company is also arranging financing with Silver Reel on Joshua Marston’s DOUBLE HOUR with Joel Edgerton and Michelle Williams and Craig Zobel’s Z FOR ZACHARIAH with Chris Pine, Amanda Seyfried and Chiwetel Ejiofer. Lotus and Silver Reel also recently came on board on the remake of Park Chan Wook’s SYMPATHY FOR MR VENGEANCE with Lorenzo di Bonaventura and CJ entertainment producing.
